Daniel Ian Ruffles is an award-winning landscape photographer based in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

Daniel specialises in landscape and seascape photography, and strives to capture the ethereal beauty of the Suffolk Coast, from its vast, wide-open skies to the tranquility of its sea.

Nurtured by the gift of a camera from his father at a young age, Daniel has spent many years capturing the essence of this special place. His work is characterised by its delicate colour, exquisite detail, and evocative composition. The early morning starts, the chance to witness the sunrise and the changing light, are a constant source of inspiration. Drawn to the big skies of the Suffolk Coast, and the ever-changing light and atmosphere, he creates images that are both beautiful and atmospheric.

Through photography, Daniel writes a visual love letter to Suffolk, celebrating the unique beauty of this picturesque region, from its rugged cliffs to its tranquil beaches. As a landscape and seascape photographer, he strives to capture the essence of the natural world through a lens.

Daniel was the winner of ‘Coastal View’ 2023 Landscape Photographer of the Year, and was shortlisted Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2020.
