Olivia Wileman British, b. 1994

Olivia Wileman is an abstract artist living and working in Nottingham.

Having graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2016 in Fine Art, Olivia has gone on to work in design and painting since, exhibiting across the UK.  

Artist Statement 

"Paintings that excite me are ones that have an unexpected quality yet are still balanced and harmonious. Abstract art allows you to create pieces that don't try to represent an exact depiction of something, instead, they employ various elements such as forms, colours, and gestural marks to evoke its meaning."

Painting style 

Olivia's brightly coloured, vibrant abstract oil paintings utilise a combination of colour, layering and mark making, focusing on creating a balance between forms and gestural marks. She encompasses collaging techniques with materials such as oil, paper, and pieces of raw canvas shredded into shapes.
