Marion Drummond PAI British, b. 1958

About
Marion Drummond was born Glasgow in 1958, and has lived in Scotland all her life. She likes to combine her love of hill-walking with painting al fresco, to capture life with a sense of urgency and immediacy.

The self-taught Drummond works mainly in oils, enjoying the intensity of working with palette knives and her fingers to create still lifes, landscapes, and portraits.

Drummond greatly admires the work of many living Scottish artists, but her strongest influences are Stephen Carruthers, Jenny Saville, and Enid Foote Watts.
