About
"I work from moments of inspiration: I notice the way tulips droop in a vase, or the way two colours look together. Mundane images make me reach for my sketch book, rendering me a chronicler, a visual writer. My work not only grows out of those moments; it references those moments."
This body of work is a sympathetic response to the poem By Heart, by Thomas John Carlisle, which the artist found over 30 years ago while looking through her mother's affairs after she passed away.
