Thompson's Gallery, Aldeburgh are proud to announce their forthcoming Christmas Exhibition where we are showing over 30 different artists from all over Britain from the 20th and 21st Century. This is our second largest exhibition of the year and has a strong tradition of being able to show off works by well established artists as well as some newcomers too. This year we have included a 'Man and Horse' lithograph by Elisabeth Frink, several works by the war artist Edward Ardizonne, a Cornish scene by Julian Trevelyan, lithographs by Harry Becker and screen prints by John Piper as well as an etching by Augustus John. All of these represent the 20th Century side of things.
Representing the 21st Century are Scottish artists Mhairi McGregor, James Tweedie and Judith Bridglandand a beautiful still life by Norman Edgar as well as other artists north of the border. We are also showing new work by our sell out artists Brita Granström and Emma Williams, both hugely popular. We have some excellently executed work by the talented RBA artist Lewis Hazelwood-Horner who trained at Byam Shaw like so many of the artists we represent. We are also very pleased to exhibit several sculpturors and have Sue Jones with her precisely executed slate sculptures, Chris Buck who has successfully been exhibiting with us for many years now and also some stunning pieces by Carol Peace. John Emanuel has contributed 3 delicate works and NEAC artists Robert Wells and Peter Brown have sent us some strong and beautifully executed pieces and there is also a fabulous snow scene by Andrew Macara and skating at the National History Museum by David Sawyer to keep us in the winter spirit.
