Thompson’s Gallery, Aldeburgh are very excited to be holding our Christmas exhibition which opens on the 7th December and is going to be a treasure trove of beautiful paintings and sculpture for sale. We will be showing new work by over 25 of our well known artists and some carefully chosen new artists who are all well established in their careers but will be new to Thompson’s Gallery. We have a long tradition of working alongside the various art societies which are under the umbrella of the Federation of British Artists and these will be well represented by handpicked artists whom we feel have strong and important work which can add to and enhance this exhibition. New to the gallery will be Johanna Zhang whose urban studies of everyday life have enormous depth and strong narrative and also Patrick Cullen who paintings are thoughtful and accurate depictions of landscapes from different countries. Victoria Jinivizian, whose interiors bear a resemblance to early works by Vuillard but with a modern feel are also included. It is always exciting to show new artists in the gallery and develop a lasting working relationship and to see how our clients respond to their work.
As always we are putting together a strong group of 20th Century artist for this exhibition and leading this group is a magnificent painting by Mary Potter, work by Sir Alfred Munnings and an exquisite oil by Marcus Ford of Snape Maltings and a couple of etchings by Salvador Dali.
